Job Description

We are looking for a Project Manager with 3+ years working experience in project management. He or she will be reporting directly to the Senior Project Manager. The ideal candidate possesses strong oral and written communication skills, has the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and pays strong attention to detail. He or she must have experience in dealing with corporate and commercial clients, with a strong ability to understand their business needs.

Primary Responsibilities

Duties include, but are not limited to and subject to change upon review.
Your duties include managing, coordinating with all stakeholders for a project to ensure delivery and installation and operational readiness:

  • Define project success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties throughout project life cycle.
  • Develop and maintain working relationships with clients, understanding their specific needs and expectations
  • Lead project status meetings with internal and external stakeholders, reporting on the progress of projects
  • Attend and contribute to project planning meetings alongside Project Manager
  • Communicate and work with sub-contractors
  • Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion
  • Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals;
  • Identify risks and escalate where appropriate
  • Prepare project status reports and minutes after meetings in a timely manner
  • Control and verify project scope
  • Create project performance reports
  • Create, update and adjust full-scale project schedules utilizing MS Project and associated communications documents
  • Create, update and manage project budgets
  • Manage and update project contracts
  • Create and maintain issues logs
  • Create timesheet tracking reports for specific projects
  • Organize, manage and update the project document repository
  • Liaise and coordinate with Purchasing Coordinator to deal and manage the inflow and outflow of hardware for projects
  • Properly document changes in projects by following change control procedures and maintaining a change control log
  • Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders;
  • Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel;
  • Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team;
  • Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path;
  • Perform any other duties as assigned and related to position
  • Responsible for delivering mid to large size projects

Desired Skills, Experience and Education

  • Successfully completed project management courses and/or have attended project management training
  • PMP designation considered an asset

Skills and Experience

  • 3+ years of related work experience
  • Understands and has a proven working knowledge of project management methodologies
  • Familiar with Microsoft Project and Visio
